Modi Ji Hit the ‘CCC’! With his 3-Nation Visit- Cyprus, Canada and Croatia! Know All About It Here!

With the G7 Summit being the highlight of his grand tour, many people missed the 1st and last destinations on his itinerary.

PM Modi has just become the first PM to ever visit a Balkan nation. His visit to Croatia has become much more significant that his “supposed” meeting with Trump at the White House. Modi Ji chose Croatia and man what a choice it was!

The welcome that the Indian PM has received on a foreign soil like Croatia is unbelievable not only for us Indians, but also for the small population of Croatia who are witnessing such a magnum opus for an Indian politician for the first time.

The visit was supposed to be centred around the G7 summit, but it has become more about the other two destinations, Cyprus and Croatia. In this article, we will give a brief about what Modi ji wanted to achieve from this 3-Nation Visit, for which he has allegedly snubbed Donald Trump’s invitation (well, that’s the gossip, I’m just saying!)

Prime Minister Modi Ji is currently on a high-profile 3-Nation Visit to Cyprus, Canada, and Croatia, marking his first global trip after “Operation Sindoor.” With a packed schedule that included participating in the G7 Summit and many other bilateral meetings, this tour signifies India’s growing diplomatic ambitions and signals a new chapter in bilateral ties with these key nations.

Brief points on all three key visits to Cyprus, Canada and Croatia

  • Cyprus (June 15–16)
  • Historic first bilateral visit in over 20 years, with Modi Ji welcomed by President Nikos Christodoulides
  • Meetings with CEOs in Limassol focused on boosting trade, energy, innovation, and technology
  • Crucially positioned Cyprus as a strategic link in the India–Middle‑East–Europe Corridor (IMEC)
  • Canada (June 16–17)
  • Attended the 51st G7 Summit at Kananaskis, his sixth consecutive Summit. Held a landmark bilateral meeting with Canadian PM Mark Carney, the first since strained relations in 2023 over the Hardeep Singh Nijjar case
  • Agreed to restore full diplomatic services, appoint new high commissioners, and reset India-Canada relations
  • Focused on global concerns i.e., energy security, AI governance, climate, and strengthening democracy

  • In Croatia
  • Modi Ji set to meet PM Plenković and President Milanović, focusing on trade, EU‐India linkages, investment, and future cooperation

This trip is a diplomatic masterstroke by PM Modi:

  • The Cyprus award reinforced India’s role in Mediterranean and EU corridors.
  • The reset with Canada was essential—not just symbolically but practically—restoring high-level engagement and trade momentum.
  • The Croatia visit paves the way for deeper India–EU connections.

Yet, there remain challenges: managing protests (notably from Canada’s Sikh diaspora), delivering on ambitious trade agreements, and transforming short-term diplomacy into long-term, actionable partnerships.

Final thoughts

The 3‑Nation Visit by PM Modi marks a strategic push by India to solidify ties across Europe and North America. Here’s what stands out:

  • Cyprus: We must acknowledge the fact that due to this government’s forward-looking foreign policy, we are in a position that we have access to all those nations that are pressure points for our undeclared enemies. To counter Turkey, Cyprus is always going to be the best weapon in our arsenal and not only that, Cyprus can be used to trigger a lot in Turkey by just supplying them with what they need. Arms, ammunition, training, missiles, we have plenty! And with that, the expanded presence in the Mediterranean, defence cooperation, cybersecurity, and positioning Cyprus as a corridor gateway to Europe through IMEC, all these are also positives that you should see out of this visit by the honourable PM.
  • Canada: Remember the last few months in the Indo-Canadian diplomacy? The former PM of Canada, Justin Trudeau had left no stones unturned in ruining the relations between our two countries. His illegitimate claims of unlawful killings done by the Indian government and his non sensical statements made in the Canadian Parliament became a point of contention to a stage where all diplomatic ties had to be severed. Now, with the G7 Summit trip, we will see a reset in India‑Canada relations after deep tensions; meaningful progress on diplomacy, trade, and diaspora engagement.

  • Croatia: The first ever Indian PM to visit Croatia! Another milestone achieved by the man who was mocked by saying, “he has only experience running a state like Gujarat, how will he manage the foreign policy of the country?” THIS is what you consider a geopolitical milestone! This signals a new EU outreach from India, new economic ties, and new strategic partnerships.

Modi Ji utilized this trip not only to mend strained ties but also to broadcast India’s leadership on global platforms, especially through the lens of the G7 Summit.

Our opinion

Apart from his visit to Canada, we think the trip was a success! We got to see #Melodi again, the PM had meaningful discussions with several world leaders, the India-Canadian relations are finally getting back to normal and our biggest motive, propagating our message about “Operation Sindoor”. This was our ultimate goal and what Modi ji said from the G7 Stage was enough to be called a message!

India Never Has and Never Will Accept ANY Third-Party Interference in the Kashmir Conflict! Period!

A message for those who want to be credited for stopping a “nuclear war.”

We think the diplomacy is again going in the correct direction and we want to see things change for the better.
