Trump hits Iran's nuclear sites

“Fordow Is Gone”: Trump Claims Irreversible Damage to Iran Nuclear Programme After US Strikes

The United States of America has once again stepped into a Middle Eastern war. The Israel-Iran War is not showing any signs of de-escalation. On the other hand, the US has bombed Iran’s key nuclear sites. Fordow has always been seen as the most important Iranian Nuclear site where the enrichment process of Uranium is at the highest levels. They have hit two other nuclear sites, namely, Natanz and Esfahan. These two were also earlier struck by Israel in their airstrikes.

What Took the US So Long to Get Into the Israel-Iran War?

After months of rising tension and indirect engagement, the United States has finally stepped into the heart of the Israel vs Iran conflict. For weeks, intelligence analysts speculated that the Biden administration was hesitant to authorize direct military engagement. But with the recent re-election of Donald Trump and his swift reassertion of control over U.S. foreign policy, everything changed.

On June 21, reports confirmed that US Forces dropped six GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators, also known as “bunker busters,” on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility. The Fordow site, buried under 80 meters of rock, was believed to be near-impervious to standard strikes. But now, Trump has claimed the destruction is “irreversible,” dealing a serious blow to the Iranian Nuclear Programme.

Did Trump Make the Right Move?

According to Trump, the strike was “essential for global security” and a message to Ayatollah Khamenei that “America is back.” But the move has drawn mixed reactions worldwide.

Supporters argue that Iran’s growing nuclear capability posed an existential threat not just to Israel, but to regional stability. By eliminating Fordow, the U.S. has taken out a key node in Iran’s uranium enrichment process. However, critics warn that the US attacks on Iran might provoke a larger regional war, especially given Iran’s threats of retaliation and the already chaotic situation in the Middle East.

The Iran-Israel conflict has now crossed a threshold where diplomacy seems increasingly unlikely.

Was His Closeness to Pakistan Linked to This Attack?

Earlier this week, we saw the newly “self-appointed” Field Marshall of the Pakistan Army, Asim Munir, meet the US President Donald Trump at the white house. The meeting stung the majority of the Indian public as well as the Indian diaspora living in the US. But wait a minute! Are you connecting the dots here?

The US strikes Iran right after the US President has a cordial meeting with the “Pakistani Dictator”; is that just a coincidence? Also, why did Trump earlier want a “two-week time period” to “THINK” about the US position on whether to strike Iran or not? Seems like a big setup that Iran was trapped in! The more you trust Pakistanis, the more they show their true colours!

“Pakistan will fire its nuclear missiles if Israel sends nuclear bombs to Iran”, my foot!

Pakistan and the Pakistani army only see money, and they have bent over backwards yet again. They kneel in only two circumstances: either they have lost the war, then they will even take their pants off, or second, when they see DOLLARS. Their tails started wagging as soon as Trump called for a Ceasefire between India and Pakistan and started taking all the credit for himself.

Some analysts suggest that Donald Trump’s warming ties with Pakistan in recent months may have provided strategic leverage. With Iran sharing a long and often tense border with Pakistan, Islamabad’s silent approval, or at least its neutrality, could have played a critical role in the strike’s success.

There are unconfirmed reports that U.S. intelligence assets were allowed access to certain border zones and airspace, possibly aiding precision targeting. While no official acknowledgment has come from Islamabad, the silence is deafening.

Moreover, Pakistan’s rivalry with Iran, fuelled by sectarian divides and regional power struggles, may have aligned it quietly with this American initiative. Trump’s diplomatic moves in South Asia may not be as disconnected from the Middle East theatre as they initially seemed.

India’s Reaction to These Attacks

India has responded cautiously. PM Narendra Modi stated that while India supports peace and stability in the Middle East, any escalation that threatens the region’s security, particularly the safety of Indian nationals, will be taken seriously.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has urged restraint from all sides, emphasizing that “any threat to critical energy routes or diaspora communities will be met with strong diplomatic engagement.”

Privately, sources say New Delhi is concerned that instability in Iran could affect India’s energy interests and push global oil prices higher. Additionally, with ongoing geopolitical engagements with both the United States Army and Iran, India must tread carefully.

Final Thoughts

The destruction of Fordow marks a dramatic turn in the Israel-Iran conflict, with US Forces taking a bold and unprecedented step. It signals a return to hard-power diplomacy under Trump’s leadership, contrasting with years of cautious negotiation.

Whether this attack will deter Iran or provoke a wider war remains uncertain. But what is clear is that the Iran nuclear sites are now in the crosshairs, and regional actors must prepare for rapid developments.

Our Opinion

The US has always meddled in wars in almost every region of the world. Iran is just another example of how they can use their economic power to subdue other nations that are even trying to do something for themselves. They tried that with us Indians in 1998-2001 when they imposed sanctions on India and Pakistan for testing their nuclear missiles.

Today, their wrath is towards Iran because they are eyeing the completion of their nuclear missile programme. Now, we know Iran should NOT have nuclear weapons. We know the consequences, too, but can’t we use this opportunity to twist Khamenei’s arms and get him on our side over the Kashmir issue? Khamenei and all other Iranian leaders know that they have again been backstabbed by the Pakistani regime. Why not cut their ties forever and forge a connection with the Iranian government? Why not throw out China and Pakistan together from Iran? What’s the harm? You will get access to the largest fuel source in the world, and it might even become a story about how India stepped in and played the peacemaker between different nations.

The decision to strike Fordow was not made in isolation. It was a calculated message, one that signals both deterrence and dominance. While we do not endorse conflict, we recognize that nuclear ambiguity poses grave threats. Trump’s aggressive stance may earn criticism, but it forces global leaders to confront uncomfortable realities.

Well, everything depends on the government of India and our leaders.

Where India goes and which side we choose has to be in the best interests of our nation.
